James: “Before coming into the Homeless Youth Foundation program, I had failing grades, no place to live, was barely eating and didn’t have a job. Now I graduated high school, have my own apartment and a job with the National Guard.”

Chris: “Kathleen and her staff believed in me. The Homeless Youth Foundation provided me with opportunities. Now I have an apartment, a great job, and am going to college.”

Alicia: Former homeless teen who found the Homeless Youth Foundation after a suicide attempt. “I’m just trying to do my best – thanks to them (HYF) I’m not homeless anymore.”

Calyese: “When you have no home it’s hard to look at the future when your main focus is how am I going to eat? The Homeless Youth Foundation put me in a two-bedroom apartment with a roommate. It’s hard to describe the feeling of a nice place after you’ve been sleeping in a car.”

Jose: Struggled while he was homeless to find a job but can now support himself. “It was hard for me. Now I’ve got a steady job and money saved in the bank.”

Crystal: “It’s hard, having no home, no place to go. The Homeless Youth Foundation pretty much saved my life.”
