Sandy Miller, Vice Presient, First Lady, State of Nevada 1989-1999



As a founding board member of the Homeless Youth Foundation, First Lady, State of Nevada Sandy Miller brings years of experience of working with children’s charities. A long-time advocate for children, Miller is credited for bringing several programs for Nevada’s families; she was instrumental in bringing the Baby Your Baby program to Nevada, providing prenatal care for all women, and The Antarctica Classroom – In conjunction with Desert Research Institute, Nevada school districts, and local media to coordinate live interaction between students and scientists doing research in Antarctica. Every Child by Two – A program ensuring immunizations for every two-year old in Nevada State Chairman.


Besides serving on the board for the Homeless Youth Foundation and other nonprofit organizations, Sandy is Vice Chair of Board of Directors for Sunrise Hospital, Board Member Emeritus for Desert Research Institute, and Chairman of the Board for McCaw School if Mines.


Sandy is married to Bob Miller and they have three children; Ross is Secretary of State for Nevada, Corrine is a producer in New York, and Megan is an Honors student in California.
